[crossed from 'For the love of Sushi']
I've had uni four or five times, probably. The first time, my response was one of surprise -- "Wow, this is strange, but I think I like it. I'll have to try again."
But last night, I had my best uni ever! The texture was wonderful, smooth, creamy. There was no hint of the iodine / brine that I've sometimes noticed. It was sweet, delectable, wonderful!
This was at Fuji Sushi, in the International District in Seattle -- one of my favorite sushi places.
UNI YUM!
