Re: Chiso
Fri, November 19, 2004 - 10:24 AMi've been to Chiso several times. i certainly wouldn't consider it sublime (esp as compared to Fuji, Mashiko) but they do have quite good sushi. it's definitely on my go-there-again list. -

Fuji is Sublime?
Wed, December 1, 2004 - 5:05 PMI noticed you compared Fuji to Mashiko's - Do you Recommend the Omakase there or just to order from the menu? I just looke it up and found it at 520 S Main St, Seattle, WA 98104
Which I am assuming is in the ID. I want to check out what is your thinking??? -

Re: Fuji is Sublime?
Fri, December 3, 2004 - 8:02 AMhi, Kimra --
i probably go to fuji more than anywhere else when i'm craving sushi. it's one of my three favorites in town: mashiko, fuji, nishino. nishino doesn't get more of my business, even though much closer to home, b/c it's more expensive, busy, and yupped-out. mashiko is just too far away for casual sushi ... it's more of a planned event.
fuji has really good fish, very well prepared, and has some interesting preparations as well -- the hot california roll, for example. they have great amaebi, the second best uni i've ever had (mashiko is best). as you may be guessing, i could go on ... :)
fuji is a block north of jackson, between 5th and 6th. good stuff. check it out!
cheers,
